Multi Couplings

In mobile hydraulics, the number of hoses often makes connecting attachments a difficult task. In addition, temperature fluctuations can cause back pressure on the loose attachment, which again complicates the procedure.

Stucchi S.p.A. has developed a solution to make connecting mobile equipment hydraulic couplings easier. Multi-couplings that can be connected even under back pressure allow hydraulic couplings to be disconnected and connected when there is pressure in the hose—as long as the working function is not on.

Hydraulic multi-couplings for different applications

Multi-couplings are available in several different versions and sizes. The most common types are equipped with 2, 4 or 6 couplings. The multi-coupling package always includes a fixed plate with a handle, a mobile plate and a protection cover. An optional parking station helps to fix the mobile plate to the attachment when it is not connected to the machine. Multi-couplings can also be delivered with special coatings and nut secured couplings for demanding conditions.

The size and number of hoses is proportional to the size of the plates, and the hose bundle must not cause excessive side loading of the kit. For more information, see the instructions for use.

The GRK3, GRU6 and GR6AF multi-coupling kits are particularly suitable for timber cranes.
