Series 507 TLX – ½”

TLX is a Flat-Face twist lock coupling for the toughest applications in the construction and demolition segment. This super-duty quick connect coupling is designed to work with the highest surge flows and the toughest pressure impulses. TLX is made from high alloy steels with Zinc-Nickel surface treatment for a long life in the harshest conditions. The Series is available in sizes from ½” to 1 ½” to cover most applications.

– The couplings and nipples are also available in 4 other sizes: ¾” (Series 607) 1” (Series 707) 1 ¼” (Series 807) and 1 ½ ” (Series 907)

Technical data

Flow rate: 93 l/min (20.5 GPM) @ 3bar ΔP **
Temperature range: -30°C — +100°C (-22°F — +212°F)
Material coupling: High alloy steels with Zinc-Nickel surface
Material nipple: High alloy steels with Zinc-Nickel surface
Material seal: Nitrile (NBR)
Max. working pressure connected: 420 bar (6091 PSI)
Max. working pressure disconnected: 420 bar (6091 PSI)
Min. burst pressure connected: 1680 bar (24366 PSI)
Min. burst pressure disconnected: 1050 bar (15229 PSI)
Connectability: Connection with residual pressure only limited by operator strength
Disconnection under pressure: Disconnection with residual pressure in the system is allowed

(**) – If the application is constantly above this flow rate on respective coupling size, a larger coupling size should be considered to avoid too high pressure drop. The couplings can handle much higher flow rate during short time periods, but there is a risk of heat build-up in the system. Surge flows far above normal flow rate is in general not a problem.

– TLX is pressure impulse tested at 525 bar (7614 psi) for 1.000.000 impulses acc. to ISO 7241-2. (Flow Rate) – If the application is constantly above this flow rate on respective coupling size, a larger coupling size should be considered to avoid too high pressure drop. The couplings can handle much higher flow rate during short time periods, but there is a risk of heat build-up in the system. Surge flows far above normal flow rate is in general not a problem.
